Jocelyne Blanchard

Jocelyne discovered painting in 1999 by a happy coincidence and was amazed at her very first class by the texture and richness of the colors that appeared under her small spatula! She was introduced to figurative oil painting by brush and patiently and carefully learned the basic skills. But it was in 2007 that she discovered with passion abstract painting with spatula during a workshop with professional artist Jacques Desgagnés. What an eye opener! A new way of expression came to life - a constant discovery of her inner reality. She now lets herself be guided by the colors that want to appear, by the interior movement or emotion that seeks to surface.

She is the first to be surprised by what appears on the canvas. A musician, the movement and rhythm of her musical spirit are palpable in both her figurative and abstract paintings.
