My artistic approach lies in the simplicity of the materials I use. Paper fascinates me. I manufacture it, transform it and integrate it to my artwork. I also integrate objects or fragments of objects, as well as tissue paper that can seem useless at first glance. I assemble together on canvas these scraps carrying a pattern, a memory. They come back to life. I create movements where vibrant acrylic colors intermingle and are superimposed. I like to use mixed techniques, impasto and raised textures that produce a sculptural background. I start my work without a plan or a sketch. My intuition and the materials themselves guide my creativity.
My paintings express a universe drifting feely between the figurative and abstract spheres. I explore various styles and media. Materials put forward their stories and their adventures. They mark our lives. Images come to life as quickly as clouds take shape and distort. Shadows and light appear. Morsels, dispersions and scatterings come together on the canvas.
