Jocelyne Blanchard

Jocelyne discovers painting in 1999 by a happy coincidence and is amazed at her very first class by the texture and richness of the colors that appear under her small spatula! She is initiated to figurative oil painting by brush and patiently and carefullly learns the basic skills.

It is in 2007 that she discovers with passion abstract painting with spatulas during a workshop with professional artist Jacques Desgagnés of Ottawa. A new way of expression comes to life ! What an eye opener! It is a constant discovery of her inner reality. She lets herself be guided by the colors that want to appear, by the interior movement or emotion that seeks to surface. She is the first surprised by what appears on the canvas.

A musician, the movement and rythym of her musical spirit are palpable in both her figurative and abstract paintings. And the adventure goes on!
