Rebecca Belliveau is an artist living and working in the Moncton area. She obtained her BFA and pursued further courses in media arts in Montreal with renowned Canadian artist, Irene Whittome. Having specialized during university in both painting and photography, Rebecca eventually developed her own technique that combines both mediums to create an integrated mixed media – the result being fine art photography and highly textured contemporary painting. She recently has explored and experimented with papermaking techniques, which she intends to integrate in her upcoming production of paintings, a series entitled “Sartre with evil”, based on the writings of French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre.
Rebecca is a member of Galerie 12, a co-op gallery consisting of well-established professional artists located in the Centre Culturel Aberdeen in Moncton, NB. She assists with management tasks and assignments for the gallery.
