Formerly a program officer at ArtsNB and at CraftNB before that, Claire brought her drive and dedication to fostering the arts in New Brunswick with her when she moved to the Executive Director role at Sunbury Shores. Sunbury Shores is a hybrid of gallery and community centre that has been in operation for over 50 years, with a vision that expands outward to attract exceptional talent to New Brunswick. She’s there to make things happen.
A guest speaker at our Saturday morning panel discussion, Claire will talk about Sunbury Shores and its goals and challenges, and how it puts together infrastructure and programming to meet them. By virtue of her program officer work and her experience as a volunteer as well, Claire has connected with people and organizations all over the province and has first-hand experience helping build cultural fabric in communities and in helping individuals and communities extend their networks.
Claire is herself an artist as well as a builder: a writer, photographer, and performance artist. She holds a degree in cinema and media studies from Wellesley College, with studies in fine art media at Slade School of Fine Art, London.
