Self-tought artist who likes to paint landscapes, I try to catch a glimpse of a pond or a hill. Pastel is the medium that allows me best to capture those elusive moments. It requires no preparation, it is easy to transport and a simple sheet on a cardboard is the perfect support. I use sand paper: pastel dust holds on to it and it makes melting together different pigment layers easy. So you can obtain colors different from those of the crayons in your box. It is a great medium if you learn how to use it.

I also do a bit of acrylic but I haven't touched oil painting in a while, because it demands a lot of time and dedication.

I have held a few exhibitions but I find that pastel is fragile and needs to be framed and well protected. I have exposed mostly in the Matapedia valley, in Mont-Joli, Causapscal, Saint-Alexis, etc. I have also exhibited in Sherbrooke. When asked why I no longer hold exhibitions, I reply that it is a matter of cost and organization. I am 70 now, so I sometimes find it is getting a bit late, but I would still like to do it.

I also work part time as an illustrator, and enjoy making satirical drawings.
