Lorraine Eadie Gaudin Higgs

Lorraine Eadie is originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She married a boy from Restigouche County and they moved to N.B. to raise their young family. She is very moved by the scenery of the Restigouche Region, a painter's paradise. She enjoys creating images of the beauty in her life whether it be flowers, landscapes or friends and family. Lorraine has painted and drawn since childhood, and as an adult she has taken many workshops for artists. She has painted in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, gouache etc. She favors a very impressionistic style. Lorraine has won three awards from the Moncton art society. She exhibits regularly in local and provincial art shows. She has given many art courses to both children and adults in her local area. She was given two grants from the NB government to pursue her interest in children`s literature and illustration. Lorraine has painted many commissioned art works. Her work is in private collections throughout Canada and the U.S. Lorraine invites you to come and enjoy her perspective on her world through viewing her art.
